Stewardship – A Way of Life

Jeff McBride

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.  1 Peter 4:10

The Stewardship Ministry seeks to foster a spirit of giving among parishioners. Recognizing that stewardship is not just about fundraising, the ministry promotes active participation in the parish.  It acts as the “umbrella” that enables parishioners to share their time, talent and treasure in the service of God, as well as for the benefit of the parish and the wider community. In their communication with other ministries, members help coordinate and inform the parish regarding programs, activities and events. They have hosted Stewardship Fairs, which allow parishioners to learn about various ministries.

We, the members of the Church of the Incarnation, recognize that we are stewards of all the gifts that we have received from God.  As we walk our faith journey together, let us always use every opportunity to share our talents with each other.  As disciples of the Lord, we can profess our faith by active participation in our parish life.  When the Lord said, “I will send you a Helper,” He may have been referring to each one of us working with the Holy Spirit our Helper.  Together, everything is possible.
