Significance of the IncarnationThe name of our parish church has its basis in the gospel of St. John (1:14) "The Word became Flesh and made His dwelling among us." The foundation of the Christian faith is that the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, became a human being. He came into the flesh (Latin, in carnum). Jesus Christ is really God and truly human. The word Incarnation describes this great mystery of God's love for us.
